Hi Claudia, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Body Sculpting or Body Contouring is the new term used for all non-invasive non-surgical procedures, that help to remove stubborn fat, shape and tone the body with zero downtime, minimal to no pain, less risk of side effects.
Much more cost-effective than standard surgery.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Claudia Alvarez. I’m the founder of Glo Wellness, a Southern California native, and an entrepreneur and creative at heart.
For the last 20 years I have had the opportunity to help other entrepreneurs turn their dreams and visions into successful start-up companies in the service and design space.
I feel now it is my time to pour all of my experience into something I can call my own.
I’ve always worn multiple hats throughout my career and my role goes beyond a knack for business. I’m naturally a self-esteem booster and networking happens to be my weapon of choice. Creating relationships through business is so gratifying and the people I have had the opportunity to work with continue to inspire me. I’m a minimalist in spirit, who’s into conscious living and keeping things easy, simple and versatile.
My family and I started Glo Wellness with the idea of helping everyone and anyone build confidence within themselves by putting their body goals first. We offer some of the safest and most non-invasive methods in the market of body sculpting. When incorporated into a healthy lifestyle of mindful diet and exercise, we can help you reach your goals. Whether you need a confidence boost or are in the midst of a complete makeover, we’re happy to help you in your journey.
Glo Wellness is certified in non-invasive body sculpting, 360 cryolipolysis (fat freezing), E-Sculpt (HIEMT), ultrasonic cavitation, radio frequency skin tightening, laser-lipo and are hoping to expand our offering as we continue to grow.

Let’s say your best friend is visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary - say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
San Diego has a plethora of fabulous eateries and fun activities! I’d start with either a nice morning hike through Torrey Pines or Cowles mountain, or a stroll down of our famous beaches. Ocean Beach and Del Mar are some favorites.
We’ve really been into Morning Glory in Little Italy for brunch. The food and morning cocktails are fantastic, and the atmosphere is picture-perfect for visitors. We’d probably walk to the farmers market from there. Apart from groceries, it’s a great spot for some flowers and hand made thoughtful souvenirs.
Evening would most likely start at Polite Provisions for some cocktails… they’re Old Fashioned can’t be beat! Dinner would either have to be at Ironside Fish & Oyster in Little Italy, or back to Ocean Beach at South Coast for some fish tacos and beers along the boardwalk. The sunset view from the South Coast patio is a no-brainer.
You can’t come to San Diego without setting aside some to experience Baja California! The wineries in Valle de Guadalupe are not to be missed. Puerto Nuevo in Rosarito is great for lobster, and Tijuana has the best taco carts ever. It’s the perfect day trip along the Mexican coast.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and ecouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to my family for being so supportive and hands-on through the development of my business. My husband has helped me with his words of encouragement and with all the manual labor within the studio. My daughter Dalilah, who is a graphic designer, for designing all of Glo Wellness’ branding, website, and social media platforms. She will also be a fellow technician at Glo Wellness! My son Devin for helping me understand the importance of building a brand and always giving me professional advice.
